Hello!
I’m Kirsty, a video producer with a passion for my film making and adventure. I live between Perth, Melbourne and Queenstown and am available for work across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand.
My strength and passion is working as a field producer/director for travel, on location shoots but also absolutely love working on a variety of video creation needs. I am passionate about telling real stories that can have a positive impact on society. I am a hard working team player with a strong technical understanding, a love for story telling and the ability to problem solve quickly, remaining calm under pressure.
After graduating from the University of Western Australia with a bachelor of arts, majoring in media and communications, I spent the year backpacking before returning home to sunny Boorloo (Perth) at the end of 2016. I then began working in the media industry, starting as a production coordinator at a production house exclusively producing lifestyle content for Channel 9 and 9Life. I quickly accelerated in this role and was soon travelling frequently for work, on shoots both field producing and camera assisting. This job set up my love for on-location, travel programmes and I was lucky enough to learn from the industry leaders in Western Australia. After nearly two years in this role, I left on the adventure of a lifetime, to drive around Australia. On the road, I created promotional videos for tourism operators and explored the incredible landscape I am so privileged to call home. After 8 months on the road, I found myself in Naarm with a three month job as a production assistant for a creative video production agency. Three months quickly turned to 4 incredible years blessing me with a variety of projects both filming locally in Victoria, across Australia and travelling to places like India and Aotearoa. Since then I have solo backpacked South America and am now lucky enough to live and work across three beautiful places.
